THE US FALLS INTO A EUNUCH STATUS AS OTHER NATIONS TAKE ADVANTAGE AND RISE
by J. Hartman -Sept 27, 2013

Americans are pessimistic about the course of the country, with 68 percent saying it’s headed in the wrong direction, the most in two years, according to the poll of 1,000 adults conducted Sept. 20-23. Note the article at the end of the green type.

There is now mass chaos and confusion on our failing government or shall I say "regime." Some characterize the situation as "two bald men fighting over a comb. Or it's like two young dogs fighting over a bone. After all the growling and snapping is done, the old dog steps in, takes the bone, and buries it in the back yard.

Meanwhile Obama is blindly walking around the White House looking for a clue. He’s like a man wandering around a dark room, hands up against the wall, clutching for the light switch of leadership and he just can’t find it. So how can anybody not be dispirited--everyday we hear about how weak the recovery is; the private sector continues to stash its cash unless it uses for M&A's, the government is shutting down because we have no budget; the government is shutting down because it won't raise the debt ceiling and be held hostage by the likes of Cruz; our education system sucks, food stamps will be cut; and on and on.

The American public may not know the details or have the expertise in all these areas, however, they, for the most part, have common sense and would like to be relieved of this constant anxiety and uncertainty. Maybe what the public should do is refuse to answer poll questions until such time that the government leadership can see clear to come to some resolution on these major issues.

Another point of confusion, people don't have jobs, retailers are fighting minimum wage risers and health insurance for their employees, we have a systemic mismatch of skills and job criteria/needs, yet, in the next breath with talk about some new game generating $800 million on its first day of sales; we worship at the altar of gadgets--Apple's new iphones, etc. We regularly post the revenues generated on new movie releases, $30 million,$ 40 million, $100 million. And we hear the whining of business about tapering off the QE. The stock market has generated 19% in profits this year. People who are in the know can't explain these dynamics--why would we expect ordinary folks can get it.

Most of the Democratic disgust is aimed at the deadweight Republican congress, but some is reflected on Obama because of his inability to budge these dolts from their inflexible stances. Some Democrats hope that Clinton will do better, but the Tea Partiers will never change their minds. The Lefts' only hope is that it is able to turn enough of the radicals out of office in the next (and following) Congressional elections to break the gridlock.

The shift of personal support from Obama will continue as the Democratic base migrates from its whole hearted support of him personally to support of Hillary, in preparation for the next Presidential election. This obviously doesn't mean this group will support the Republicans, it just means they will develop a new mental picture of the ideal leader.

I believe that adding a massive new entitlement is going to be the straw that breaks our back. Taxpayer subsidization of like-kind workplace health coverage rather than basic care is going to cost trillions of dollars, and we're already in a black hole of red ink. At some point the math is going to matter. We're doing to medicine what we did with food. Once we gave poor folks food stamps that were good for basic foodstuffs.

Now it is a EBT card that can be used for lobster, steak and ho-ho's, not to mention actual ho's. When we can no longer cover all of our indebtedness with the Chinese, there will be a pretense created to start a war so that we don't have to repay them. None of this will end well. I just hope America remembers that it was the Democrats in control of events. Maybe we should appreciate a gridlocked Congress. Since the clowns the left and right have elected can't do anything right, it is better that they do nothing at all.

Every time they pass a law that has any benefit for the citizens, the special interests get their 60% cut (out of us) one way or another. The current respite from active stupidity is giving the people some stability under which they are able to lick their wounds, improve their financial condition (slowly by paying down debt and saving in various forms), adjust to the changes already coming at them in the form of Obamacare, and move forward with their individual lives. That low expectation unfortunately is sending this "so called superpower" into eunuch status as other nations take advantage and rise.
